Information you provide directly

• Account data — email address and display name when you create an account.
• Payment data — billing details are collected and stored by LemonSqueezy (our payment processor). We never see or store your card number.
• Written exam answers — text submitted in Level 3 written practice, used solely to generate AI feedback in real time and not retained after the session.

Information collected automatically

• Quiz activity — questions answered, scores, session timestamps, and per-topic accuracy, stored to power your progress tracker and spaced-repetition schedule.
• Usage analytics — page views, feature interactions, and conversion events via PostHog. IP addresses are anonymised. No cross-site tracking.
• Technical data — browser type, device type, and Vercel access logs retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging.

• Provide, operate, and improve the Vinlecta platform.
• Personalise your study experience (readiness scores, weak-area detection, spaced repetition).
• Process payments and manage your Pro subscription via LemonSqueezy.
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, subscription receipts) via Resend.
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties or use it for advertising.

We retain your account and quiz data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (profile, quiz sessions, progress records, streak data) is permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymised aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — update your display name at any time via Settings.
• Deletion — permanently delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Danger Zone.
• Portability — request an export of your quiz and progress data.
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.

Vinlecta uses a single session cookie issued by Supabase to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics events are sent without cookies where possible.

Vinlecta is designed for adults preparing for professional wine & spirits certifications. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Vinlecta after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
